Donors Choose

Hello all,
I'm trying to raise money for a passions project. DonorsChoose will match ANY donation made to my class. If you have the time and the funds, we would really appreciate a donation. Even $1 will help (because really it will be $2 when DonorsChoose matches it). Please do not feel obligated to donate.

Thanks for reading, and thank you so much for donating if you are able to! Also, if you know of someone who might be interested in donating, please feel free to forward this email. There are thousands of teachers all over the country on this site, so it might be cool to check out what teachers in your area need. Even the smallest bit helps!
Thank you,
Laura

Science Expedition

5th Grade
Great Garbage Patch

Below are our overall guiding questions for our expedition. Guiding questions focus our topic and are questions to help ponder discussion. They are not meant to have one correct answer. As we work through our expedition, we revisit these guiding questions and our ideas change and develop over time. Please discuss with your child their current thoughts on our guiding questions and their ideas about possible answers to them.

Overall Guiding Questions:
  • How do my everyday actions impact oceans and its biodiversity? How does this impact affect me?
  • How does what I choose to buy and consume at home impact our oceans?
  • How does our impact on oceans affect what we eat?
  • How can we reverse the human impact on the oceans?
Please take the time to discuss our current expedition with your child.
*If your child’s first language is not English, then we encourage you to discuss the current expedition with him/her in your mother tongue.
